Field Engineer - ARB Inc. The Industrial side of ARB, Inc. is seeking a Field Engineer for ongoing and upcoming energy infrastructure projects in California and neighboring states. Position Overview The Field Engineer supports daily construction operations at a project site under the supervision of Superintendent, Project Manager, Project Engineer or Site Manager by providing on-site technical oversight, engineering guidance and monitoring. Responsibilities Assist with preparation, review, and transmittal of project submittals and RFIs. Follow quality control procedures and inspection protocols to ensure that the design, specifications, and standards are understood by the craft. Troubleshoot technical issues that arise on-site and consult with engineers, subcontractors, and supervisors to develop and implement solutions to minimize schedule and cost impacts. Support cost control with coding of timesheets and invoices. Track quantities and monitor progress of various work packages. Provide planning and scheduling input as required. Track and compile records of materials, equipment, and labor for any/all change orders and field orders. Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reports throughout the project. Attend project meetings to provide technical input and present recommendations to improve construction processes. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or similar discipline from a four-year college or university. Any GC/EPC experience and/or training, specifically in the energy infrastructure industry is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of P6 and MS Project scheduling platforms. Highly motivated, self-driven with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative. Passion for safety, with the ability to help us ensure that nobody gets injured. Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives. Travel flexibility is required.
