Construction Office Engineer

Central Valley Hardware is a growing leader in commercial doors, frames, and architectural hardware—and we're looking for a Construction Office Engineer to join our high-performing Projects Team. This is a career-builder role and the natural stepping stone into Project Manager and/or other departments. You'll get hands-on experience managing Division 8 in commercial construction projects, working closely with Senior Project Managers, and learning a highly specialized and in-demand trade in Division 8 (Doors, Frames & Hardware). What You'll Do As a Construction Office Engineer, you'll be at the center of project execution—owning coordination, materials, communication, and follow-through from start to finish. Project Execution & Coordination Manage submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, and change orders Order materials and ensure accurate, on-time delivery to jobsites Coordinate warehouse logistics, labeling, staging, and delivery Track deliveries and ensure materials are where they need to be, when they need to be there Communicate daily with clients, project managers, field teams, and vendors Team Collaboration & Growth Work closely with Senior Project Managers to learn hollow metal doors, wood doors, frames, and architectural hardware Help troubleshoot jobsite and project issues before they become problems Participate in client meetings and learn how project costs, extras, and change orders are reviewed and explained Support scheduling and coordination with superintendents and estimators Communication & Documentation Manage project documentation including logs, revisions, memos, and submittals Keep information flowing between all stakeholders to ensure nothing falls through the cracks What We're Looking For Degree in Construction Management or related field encouraged Ability to read and understand plans and specifications Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Problem-solver mindset with strong attention to detail Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team Familiarity with construction scheduling, logistics, and jobsite coordination is a plus Why This Role Is Different This is not a dead-end role — it's a career path to Project Manager You'll learn a highly specialized, valuable trade You'll get real responsibility, real projects, and real mentorship You'll be part of a growing, stable company with long-term opportunity Position Details Full-time In-office Preferred Benefits 401(k) + company match
