Martin/Martin, Inc. is looking for a Structural Engineer in Training (EIT) for our Denver office. This engineer will have the opportunity to work on a broad range of project types with many different structural materials. This position will provide opportunities to gain experience in both new building structural design and existing building investigations and retrofits. A typical work week can include engineering calculations, drawing development, Construction Administration tasks, and site visits. This position allows for interactions with owners, architects, and contractors early in your career as you build relationships throughout the project life cycle. While many of our projects are located in Colorado, Martin/Martin's national footprint provides opportunities to work on projects around the country. The Team Our structural engineering teams provide custom solutions for new constructions and expansions, with a strong record in notable projects like Coors Field, the Alice L. Walton School of Medicine , and Harborcenter . Responsibilities Knowledge and use of computer design and CAD/BIM software Prepares details and calculations for project components and systems Learns about products and construction procedures Prepares and writes reports Provides field observation during construction Studies and applies building code and/or jurisdictional requirements Reviews shop drawings and product submittals Checks own work Coordinates work with other disciplines Acts proactively and proposes potential solutions to problems Works overtime, when necessary Other duties as assigned
