Denver, Colorado job type: Contract salary: $48.47 - 67.86 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Lead capital engineering projects from initiation through completion ("cradle to grave"), taking full ownership of project scope, schedules, budgets, quality standards, and safety performance across facilities in the Denver Region.

Conduct regular field visits to power plants to monitor progress, oversee execution, conduct vendor/shop inspections, and witness equipment testing for critical components such as protection relays, GSUs, transformers, and motors.

Coordinate key procurement activities-including hiring engineering consultants, managing contractors, and ordering materials/equipment-while enforcing contract compliance across all vendors and suppliers.

Review, validate, and support engineering drawings, technical design documentation, and project justifications to ensure solutions align with operational needs and safety standards.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams-including operations, environmental, sourcing, project controls, and engineering-to align stakeholders and ensure smooth project transition to operations.
