Primarily Office-BasedAbout the OpportunityA well-established civil and environmental engineering firm in Connecticut is seeking a motivated Civil/Environmental Project Engineer to join its team of design professionals.

The firm provides civil and environmental engineering services to municipal and institutional clients, as well as state and federal agencies. Key ResponsibilitiesPerform civil and environmental engineering design for:

Sanitary sewer systemsWastewater pump stationsSubsurface sewage disposal systemsWater supply systemsApply knowledge of CT DEEP and CT DPH sanitary system design and permitting requirementsPrepare construction drawings and technical specificationsDevelop technical reports, cost estimates, and permit applicationsParticipate in presentations to land use commissions and clientsSupport project research, analysis, engineering calculations, and documentationRead and interpret engineering plans and specificationsWork approximately 95% in the office and 5% in the fieldWork independently as well as collaboratively under supervisionDemonstrate strong organization, attention to detail, and project ownershipQualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil EngineeringEIT certification requiredProfessional Engineer (P.E.) license preferredProficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3DStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent organizational and interpersonal skillsAbility to perform accurate and thorough engineering calculationsStrong leadership, delegation, research, and analytical abilitiesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAdaptable, motivated, and committed to delivering high-quality workAbility to safely navigate project sites in varying weather conditionsAdditional RequirementsMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictionValid driver's license requiredMust be willing to complete a drug screening if required
