Position Summary The Engineer IV, Civil/Structural independently performs engineering analyses, calculations, evaluations, and design activities supporting commercial nuclear power generation facilities. This position requires a strong technical foundation in structural engineering principles, nuclear plant design requirements, and applicable industry codes and standards. The successful candidate will apply sound engineering judgment to evaluate existing plant conditions, develop practical engineering solutions, and support modifications that improve plant safety, reliability, and performance. Working with limited supervision, the Engineer IV will execute assigned engineering tasks, support multidisciplinary project teams, review technical work products, and provide guidance to less experienced engineers and designers. Education Required Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis from an ABET-accredited engineering program. Experience Required Minimum seven (7) years of relevant engineering experience. Minimum five (5) years of commercial nuclear power experience. Demonstrated experience performing engineering calculations, structural analyses, technical evaluations, and design modifications. Experience supporting nuclear plant modifications, design change packages, or engineering change activities. Experience utilizing ANSYS for structural analysis and finite element modeling.
