Are you familiar with structural analysis, walls/beams/double tees/panels? Then I believe that my client will appreciate your experience!! Currently seeking everything from recent graduates, EIT's, PE's with any precast or prestressed experience. Salary ranges from 75k to upwards of 140k depending on experience! Benefits package and relocation assistance will be provided for the right candidates! A leading precast concrete manufacturer is seeking an in-house Structural Engineer to serve as the technical authority for its operation in the Northeast. This is a newly created position designed to bring engineering oversight in-house as the company continues to grow and take on more complex structural projects. This role is not a traditional consulting design position. Instead, this engineer will be responsible for reviewing, checking, and validating structural calculations and designs produced by outsourced engineering firms, ensuring accuracy, code compliance, and constructability before products move into production. If you enjoy being the final technical checkpoint, working closely with manufacturing teams, and eliminating engineering risk—this role is built for you. Key Responsibilities
  • Review and verify structural calculations and designs prepared by third-party engineering firms
  • Perform independent structural checks to ensure compliance with applicable codes (ACI, IBC, ASCE)
  • Serve as the internal structural authority for precast and prestressed concrete products
  • Identify discrepancies, design risks, or constructability issues prior to production
  • Collaborate with drafting, project management, and plant leadership teams
  • Support resolution of engineering-related issues during manufacturing
  • Ensure designs align with plant capabilities and production methods
  • Provide technical guidance on precast systems, connections, and load paths
  • Maintain engineering documentation and calculation records Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • 1+ years of structural engineering experience in the precast/prestress concrete industry
  • Experience performing or reviewing structural calculations
  • Strong understanding of concrete design principles
  • Familiarity with U.S. building codes and standards
  • Ability to independently evaluate engineering work and challenge assumptions when needed #ST101
Pay:
$75,000.00
