Key responsibilities Assist in the structural design of projects from the schematic phase through the construction phase Draft structural systems for a variety of structures from start to finish with aid from the project manager Coordinate closely with all MEPS disciplines for cohesive drawing package Revise existing projects based on new information or permit comments Work with Engineers to create construction documents using AutoCAD / Revit Core Competencies Excellent organizational and time management skills Positive and open-minded attitude Attention to detail Accountability and initiative mindset Qualifications Bachelor of Science from an ABET-accredited university in Civil or Structural Engineering. Master's in Civil Engineer with emphasis in Structural preferred. 0-2 years experience. Engineer Intern (EI) preferred or ability to obtain. Minimum of 1 year Revit experience Working knowledge of structural systems and building code and safety regulations Knowledge and understanding of building construction regarding architectural and MEP preferred Understanding of structural design concepts Background in multifamily, ALFs, student housing, hotels, or commercial projects preferred Capable of reading and interpreting 2D/3D drawings Read, understand, and draft design instructions provided by Engineering team Field experience or construction support a plus Able to effectively communicate in English both verbally and written instruction Other duties Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
