DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC JOB SUMMARY A

postdoctoral associate position is available at the Department of Civil & Architectural Engineering, University of Miami (Coral Gables, FL). The selected candidate will work on computational frameworks for digital twins in various applications and large language models for structural analysis. Initial appointment will be one year. Employment extension depends on performance and availability of funds (the overall appointment length can be 2 years). Review will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.

DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC JOB FUNCTIONS

Conduct research on digital twins for various applications and large language models for structural analysis Prepare research reports and technical papers for publishing Mentor graduate and undergraduate students and manage the computation facilities in our labs Translate research into software platforms Assist in grants writing and make presentations at scientific conferences This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities as necessary.

DEPARTMENT PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

PhD in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant field.

Certification and Licensing:

Not applicable

Experience:

Experience in structural reliability analysis, probabilistic modeling, large language models, or computer vision is preferred
