Work Setting:
In-person (All in office/field) Hazen & Sawyer is seeking a talented early career Structural Engineer for our Hollywood, FL office. As part of our team in South Florida and working out of the regional office, you will have exciting opportunities to help deliver superior solutions to our clients' most complex water-related challenges. You will provide structural design and analysis of environmental structures such as sea walls, low-rise industrial buildings, pump stations, process basins, treatment facilities, dams, and spillways. Work directly with senior level structural engineering team providing mentoring opportunities to learn and develop Full structural design based on governing building codes and design standards Performing construction management tasks such as shop drawings reviews, responding to RFIs, and field inspections Writing technical reports and assist in the development of drawings and specifications for construction Communicate and work effectively in multi-discipline team environment Participate in fieldwork, site visits (in-state) and potential client meetings; capable of walking around outdoors in South Florida climateRequired Qualifications:
At least 4 months of relevant internship experience or 1-4years of full-time structural engineering work experience BS or MS degree in Civil Engineering Have EIT or in progress of taking the FE Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, and/or other software Experience or coursework in reinforced concrete, steel, and reinforced masonry Strong written & verbal communication skills -must be effective communicators and successfully work in multi-discipline team environment Ability to work independently and in group settings Self-starter Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite includingExcel Preferred Qualifications:
