Qualifications RS&H is currently seeking a Bridge Area Discipline Lead to join our Transportation Practice in our Jacksonville office! RS&H is a leader in bridge design throughout the state of Florida, having completed a variety of high-profile bridge projects throughout the state. We look for innovative solutions that go beyond the initial ideas to solve our client's challenges. We have an amazing team of talented structural engineers and are looking to add a senior leader for our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the structural aspects of bridge design projects. This position will be responsible for delivering current and future projects through construction, leading and supervising a team of bridge engineers, and for mentoring the team in structural design and career development. This position will also be responsible for leading technical pursuits and proposal writing.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree minimum and (Master's degree with structural emphasis preferred) in Civil Engineering from an accredited university. Must have a FL professional engineering (PE) registration with the ability to obtain comity in other jurisdictions as required Experience designing transportation structures including bridges, retaining walls, culverts, miscellaneous structures, and construction engineering. 12 or more years (minimum of 7 years) of progressive structural engineering design experience preferred Good working knowledge of MicroStation, Excel, Mathcad, variety of Structural Design Software, (examples include
STAAD, MDX, LPILE, CONSPAN, RISA, LARSA
) Experience with Finite Element Method/Analysis preferred Experience working on traditional Design Bid-Build and Design-Build delivery methods.
