Job Description
Structural Analysis Engineer Job Description We are seeking a Structural Analysis Engineer to support the analysis and validation of aerospace structures and mechanical systems. This role will be responsible for performing structural analyses on metallic and composite airframe components, ensuring designs meet performance, safety, and certification requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Perform static, dynamic, and Damage and Durability Tolerance (DaDT) structural analyses of metallic and composite airframe structures, mechanical systems, and equipment using both hand calculations and approved analytical methods.
+ Derive non-flight applied loads and develop internal load distributions utilizing engineering tools such as FEMAP, Siemens NX, Teamcenter, and other analysis software.
+ Create, extract, analyze, and distribute structural load data to support design and certification activities.
+ Evaluate structural integrity, identify potential design risks, and develop engineering solutions to complex technical challenges.
+ Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams including design, manufacturing, and systems engineering.
+ Prioritize and manage multiple projects and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment while meeting program schedules and deliverables.
+ Support design reviews, technical documentation, and engineering reports.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
+ Experience performing structural analysis of aerospace structures and mechanical systems.
+ Knowledge of metallic and composite material behavior.
+ Proficiency with structural analysis and PLM tools such as FEMAP, Siemens NX, and Teamcenter.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex engineering requirements.
+ Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
+ Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing project requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Aerospace industry experience.
+ Experience supporting aircraft development, sustainment, or certification programs.
+ Familiarity with finite element analysis (FEA), load development, and damage tolerance methodologies. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Melbourne, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $70.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
