Building Engineer Key Responsibilities Perform scheduled maintenance, repairs, and inspections of building systems; address service requests, including hot/cold calls, plumbing issues, and lighting repairs. Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and escalate issues as needed. Replace light fixtures/bulbs, filters, and other components as required. Maintain accurate records of inspections and equipment performance. Interact with occupants, contractors, and facilities managers and work closely with facilities management leadership to support smooth building operations and resolve location issues. Assist with preventive maintenance tasks and contractor oversight. Conduct property inspections to identify deficiencies. Record equipment readings and ensure assigned building systems are operating according to standards. Follow company safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE; ensure compliance withOSHA, NEC, NFC, NFPA
regulations; report safety hazards; participate in safety inspections. Provide guidance to junior Technicians when needed. Communicate verbally and in writing with teammates, leadership team, and vendors in a professional manner, keeping the appropriate customer(s) informed/updated as needed. Work closely with senior management to develop technical skills and participate in professional development programs. Building Engineer Requirements HS Diploma or GED required A valid Universal level EPA Section 608 certification is required. A valid Florida driver's license with and an acceptable driving record is required Minimum of four (4) years of technical experience in all aspects of building engineering with a strong background in technical aspects of HVAC equipment and systems, plumbing, electrical, equipment repair and maintenance, and overall system design and application. 3-5 years of job-related experience or commensurate certification/trade experience.Job Title Compensation Starting Salary:
$32.04- $33.
