Job Description

EA3 Civil Engineering, Inc. is seeking a qualified civil engineer candidate with 2 to 8 years of experience for the position of Staff Civil Engineer (E.I. preferred). A minimum degree of Bachelor's in Civil Engineering is required. We are looking for a civil engineer to assist in the design, plan production, and management of our land development, site civil, drainage, water/sewer, and other private projects. Sample current project types include single-family residential, multi-family residential, commercial projects, water mains, sanitary sewer mains, lift stations, stormwater drainage, drainage modeling, etc. Experience in permitting with the various permitting authorities throughout Miami-Dade and Broward is preferred.
Typical responsibilities may include:
Provide technical planning, design, permitting, and construction support on various site civil, utility, and land development projects Complete site Paving, Grading, & Drainage plans, Utility plans, and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans Prepare engineering calculations and supporting analysis of alternatives Prepare design reports and construction plans using local and state standards Prepare construction plans using AutoCAD or Civil 3D Review plans and specifications Prepare/assist with permit submittals Monitor task budget and progress Document design changes and communications Conduct on-site inspections as needed Prepare project status and other reports Attend Client, public, project, and staff meetings including client progress, plan review, pre- construction, etc. Maintain excellent Client relations Maintain a safe working environment The successful candidate must have experience in the above areas of design, be able to multi-task, be organized, be motivated, be a good team player, be able to produce the highest quality of work, have excellent planning, communication, writing, and problem-solving skills, and have the ability to adapt to change in priorities and project schedules. A high-proficiency in AutoCAD is required, with some knowledge of Civil 3D being beneficial. Experience with stormwater drainage design/calculations, and modeling with Cascade, ICPR, etc. is preferred.
