This role is open to candidates ranging from early-career engineers with approximately 2+ years of experience to more experienced licensed professionals with 5+ years of relevant aviation engineering experience. The selected candidate will join a collaborative design team supporting a variety of airport and airfield infrastructure projects, including planning, design, permitting, and construction administration activities for commercial and general aviation facilities. Key Responsibilities Support the planning and design of airport and airfield infrastructure projects Prepare engineering reports, construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates Assist with stormwater design and permitting efforts Contribute to pavement evaluations and airfield pavement design Support site development, grading, drainage, utility coordination, and civil infrastructure design Coordinate with project managers, clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies Assist with project scopes, schedules, budgets, and technical documentation Participate in meetings, presentations, and field/site visits as needed Provide construction phase support and engineering oversight during project execution Work on multiple concurrent assignments while maintaining schedule and budget objectives Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering Approximately 2-8 years of relevant experience in aviation, transportation, civil site development, or related infrastructure projects Experience with airport or airfield projects preferred Familiarity with FAA standards, advisory circulars, and federally funded projects is a plus Construction administration or inspection experience is beneficial Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D required Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage priorities and collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams Licensure Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred Candidates pursuing PE licensure are encouraged to apply Ability to obtain state PE registration, if not currently licensed, is desired What We're Looking For We are seeking motivated engineers who are interested in aviation infrastructure and enjoy working in a team-oriented consulting environment. Work Environment This position is primarily office-based with occasional field visits to active project and airport sites. Some travel may be required depending on project needs.
