Job Description
Develops civil engineering construction plans, calculations, reports, and permit documentation for residential development projects using Civil 3D and related design tools. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Approximately 18 months to 2 years of civil engineering experience. Current Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain EIT certification within 1 year of employment. Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D. Ability to perform independent CAD production, including sheet setup and layer management. Experience with Hydraflow, ICPR, or comparable stormwater/wastewater analysis software. Experience with Bluebeam, Adobe Acrobat, or comparable PDF markup software. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Experience preparing civil engineering construction plans and technical calculations. Preferred Skills Experience supporting multifamily development projects. Single-family residential development experience. Experience with hydrologic and stormwater analyses. Experience with utility design, including water and sanitary sewer systems. Experience supporting projects in Georgia, Florida, or the Southeast. Job Responsibilities Develop civil engineering construction plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D. Perform CAD production, including drawing setup, sheet creation, layer management, and plan revisions. Prepare technical calculations, engineering reports, and permit documentation. Perform hydrologic and stormwater analyses. Develop site grading plans and earthwork calculations. Prepare erosion and sedimentation control plans. Develop tree management and landscaping plans. Design utility systems, including water and sanitary sewer infrastructure. Prepare documentation required for permitting and regulatory review. Coordinate civil design requirements with project stakeholders and other engineering disciplines. Review and update design drawings based on engineering calculations, site requirements, and project revisions.
