About the Role We are looking for a passionate Civil Engineer who is ready to take ownership and deliver technical solutions that drive our land development projects. In this role, you'll be a central part of our client's journey—producing high-quality engineering designs, managing schedules, coordinating with external agencies, and collaborating with junior design staff. You'll work closely with our Engineering Manager and across departments to ensure we meet our commitments. This is a hands-on role where your craftsmanship, care, and accountability will truly shine. Contineo focuses on developer-driven site development civil engineering projects in a multitude of project sectors, including retail, industrial, restaurants, multifamily, and golf courses to name a few. What You'll Do (The Day-to-Day)
  • Show Up with
Purpose:
Participate in early-stage client meetings alongside Project Managers to provide technical insight, scoping guidance, and feasibility expertise.
    Anticipate & Innovate:
    Dive into site research, zoning codes, and technical standards to help our team and clients make confident, informed decisions.
      Deliver Craftsmanship:
      Finalize engineering design plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D, applying your expertise in grading, drainage, hydrology systems, utilities, and other civil systems with a focus on value.
      • Lead the
      Way:
      Own the coordination of engineering deliverables, confidently explain design decisions to clients, and gracefully handle cross-departmental collaboration with Survey, Project Management, and Permitting.
        Collaborate & Improve:
        Review and incorporate design redlines, QA/QC feedback, and jurisdictional comments. Participate in internal reviews and share insights to continuously improve our processes.
        • Protect the
        Timeline:
        Track project milestones, manage your workflow efficiently, and maintain clear visibility into project progress. Ensure tasks are completed on time while balancing project needs with construction costs.
        • Support the
        Team:
        Prepare conceptual exhibits, assist with closeout packages and as-builts, respond to RFIs, and contribute visual assets to support our Marketing team. What You Bring to the Table
        • B.S. in Civil Engineering (preferred) with 3-8 years of civil design or equivalent experience.
        • Strong working proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (this is a must!), as well as familiarity with Bluebeam, Smartsheet, PONDS, and HydraFlow.
        • Solid competency in site layout, storm drainage, grading, utilities, lighting, and erosion control.
        • The ability to interpret jurisdictional codes and logically organize documentation of design calculations.
        • GSWCC Level II Certification (or willingness to obtain it).
