Senior Civil Engineer

We are seeking candidates to fill the position of Senior Civil Engineer to serve as a project manager for a varied client base and help expand our Land Development Practice in Atlanta, Georgia. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of progressive experience and possess the professional and interpersonal skills to make a positive impact on our firm and the clients we serve. The successful candidate will possess a can-do attitude, have a passion for and take pride in their work, be a creative thinker, and have a willingness to collaborate while having the ability to work independently.

Annual Compensation:

$110,000 - 179,000 based upon experience, certifications, and regional market standards

SENIOR CIVIL ENGINEER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Plan and design a wide range of Land Development engineering, public utilities, and private development projects.

Lead engineering studies and design projects with demonstrated ability to take projects from identifying concepts, to design and preparation of construction documents, to providing construction (and post-construction) services support.

Manage task-specific scope, schedule, and budget.

Client/project management experience and business development are preferred.

Coordinate design activities and meetings between design staff, subcontractors and client managers.

Participate in project decisions regarding technical approaches, cost and scheduling performance.

Interface and build relationships with clients and public agencies on an as-needed basis.

Collaborate with a team of support professionals, including CAD designers, EITs, and GIS technicians.

Mentor and assist junior engineers in developing final design and construction plans.

Additional Responsibilities and Duties:

Willingness to travel to visit various US-based client locations.

Desire to innovate and solve difficult problems from inception to final deliverable.

Ability to react quickly and calmly to high-pressure situations.

Ability to work independently and in team settings.

Other duties as assigned.

SENIOR CIVIL ENGINEER ESSENTIAL CREDENTIALS

Education:

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required.

Georgia PE is required or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Qualifications:

8+ years of experience is required.

AutoCAD Civil 3D software experience preferred.

Experience working with DOTs preferred.
