Responsibilities NV5 seeks an Civil Site Engineer to support commercial site development projects. This role is ideal for early‑career engineers looking to grow their technical skills while contributing to site planning, grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater management design. You will work closely with senior engineers and project managers, gaining exposure to project delivery, permitting, and construction support. Assist in preparing construction documents, engineering reports, and design calculations for private and public sector site development projects Support the design of site plans, grading and drainage plans, utility layouts, erosion control plans, and stormwater management systems Participate in site visits to observe construction progress and document field conditions Assist with implementing and inspecting erosion control measures Produce construction plan sheets and assist in assembling full plan sets Support preparation of reports, studies, and technical specifications Provide construction-related support services under supervision Assist with permit applications and coordination with regulatory agencies Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to help projects meet schedule and budget goals Support project tracking, scheduling, and billing tasks as assigned Assist senior engineers and CAD technicians with design tasks Contribute to proposals, bidding support, and construction administration activities Participate in internal quality control processes Qualifications BS in Civil Engineering 0-4 years of civil site design experience EIT certification or ability to obtain Foundational knowledge of land development, grading, utilities, and stormwater design Familiarity with zoning and development ordinances Preferred Qualifications/Skills Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D Exposure to hydrology/hydraulics modeling software Familiarity with GIS tools or Bentley Storm
