Job Description

About the Role We are seeking a Licensed Civil Engineer (PE) to lead and take ownership of land development design, permitting, and engineering execution . This individual will serve as the Engineer of Record , with responsibility for reviewing, approving, and stamping plans. This is a high-impact role offering the opportunity to build and manage in-house engineering capabilities while working closely with leadership on active development projects. Key Responsibilities Lead civil design and engineering efforts for land development projects Prepare, review, and approve site plans, grading, drainage, and utility designs Serve as Engineer of Record and provide plan stamping as required Manage and coordinate with external consultants, municipalities, and contractors Oversee permitting, zoning, and entitlement processes Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations Support project execution by aligning engineering, budget, and timelines Provide technical guidance and oversight across multiple concurrent projects Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering Active Professional Engineer (PE) license (REQUIRED) 5+ years of experience in land development / site development engineering Proven experience with permitting and regulatory processes Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar design software Experience working on residential and/or commercial development projects Ability to take ownership and operate independently in a lean environment
