As a Transportation Field Engineer, you will play a key role in managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations at transportation construction sites. You will work closely with project managers, contractors, and superintendents to ensure that all construction activities are completed safely, on time, and in compliance with project specifications. Your primary responsibility will be to provide technical support, monitor construction activities, and ensure quality control and adherence to project schedules.Key Responsibilities:
- Assist project managers and superintendents in the daily execution of construction activities.
- Coordinate and track RFIs, change orders, submittals, and other project documentation.
- Support project scheduling, cost tracking, and budgeting activities.
- Attend project meetings and assist with subcontractor coordination
- Provide technical support in the field and office as needed
- And other tasks assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate/Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field OR have at least 1-2 years of experience in civil/transportation construction.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software.
- Able to meet deadlines while ensuring high-quality work.
- Valid driver's license and have a clean 5 year MVR.
