GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Structural design for new industrial facilities. Work independently and in collaboration with Senior Structural Engineer(s). Design work includes deep foundations, pile caps, mat foundations, spread footings, equipment support towers and bridges (truck/rail receiving tunnels), and vertical slipform concrete superstructures. Perform reinforced concrete, reinforced masonry, and structural steel design for industrial facilities . Interact with engineers, drafters, and project managers and superintendents in the development of preliminary and final structural design documents. Consider environmental loading such as wind, seismic, and snow, as well as stored bulk material loading on structures. Familiarity with IBC, ASCE, ACI, and AISC documents. Jobsite inspections intermittently required.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering and three (3) years of experience with reinforced concrete design. Active FE license/EIT designation with the intent and ability to obtain PE license within 1-2 years. Experience with AutoCAD, and RISA-3D structural analysis computer software. Interest in designing industrial facilities; specifically, reinforced concrete structures. Pre-employment, post-offer drug screen required.
