Responsibilities Project types include but not limited to: Residential subdivision design, commercial site planning, multi-family developments, and design of concrete underground manholes and vaults. Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, contractors, and clients to develop project schedules, manage timelines, and ensure seamless project execution. Review construction plans for adherence to building code compliance and construction regulations; oversee construction activities to verify quality control. Prepare stormwater management plans. Utilize project management skills to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy in developing structural designs for steel, concrete, masonry, and other materials. Perform detailed structural analysis to ensure stability, safety, and compliance with building codes and regulations. Prepare technical reports, calculations, and documentation to support design decisions and facilitate clear communication with clients and project teams. Experience Proven experience in civil or structural engineering with a focus on land development and concrete structural design. Hands-on experience with structural analysis software including Mathcad, CAD software (AutoCAD), Civil 3D, and GIS tools. Strong knowledge of building code analysis, construction regulations, and safety standards relevant to civil/structural engineering practices. Demonstrated ability in project scheduling, project management techniques, and technical writing for detailed reports and documentation. Construction experience is highly valued; familiarity with site supervision and quality assurance processes enhances project delivery. Excellent client communication skills coupled with the ability to interpret complex technical data into clear insights for stakeholders.
