at Jacobs in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description As a Water Engineer with Jacobs, you will work alongside Project Management and Design Leads in the planning, designing, and commissioning of projects from planning and/or design through construction or finalization. Working within a multi-disciplinary team you will be challenged to grow and learn in your everyday tasks, which, depending on your focus/specialty, could consist of.. Hydraulic modeling Water and wastewater conveyance and treatment projects water treatment, collection and distribution projects Groundwater investigations, drilling, and well installation Assisting in the preparation of plans and specifications Performing research, technical writing, development of documentation and studies Data collection, processing, and analysis to support planning and design activities Supporting construction activities related to your designs to ensure proper construction Providing on-site troubleshooting based on field conditions to including construction observation, startup and testing, and project closeout activities Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, or related engineering discipline from an ABET accredited University program. Interest in and understanding of water related projects. Strong communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to communicate your ideas clearly and concisely. Self-motivated, self-teaching, initiator. Engineer In Training ( EIT ) Certification, or the ability to obtain within 12 months of hire.
Ideally, You'll Also Have:
Experience with various software programs, which may include Microsoft Office Suite, ArcGIS, and AutoCAD (Civil 3D) or MicroStation Experience with various water-related software programs Desire to obtain your Professional Engineer (PE) Licensure within the next 5 years Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
