Heavy Civil Project Engineer Location:
Boise, ID Salary Range:
$85,000•$115,000 A reputable and growing general contractor is seeking a Project Engineer to support the delivery of heavy civil and public works projects across the Boise area. This is an excellent opportunity to join a team with a strong pipeline of infrastructure work including roadway, utilities, and site development projects. This role offers the chance to work closely with experienced Project Managers and Superintendents, gaining exposure to all phases of construction while contributing to high-profile civil projects. Key Responsibilities Assist with project management from preconstruction through closeout Manage RFIs, submittals, and project documentation Collaborate with field teams to ensure schedule and production goals are met Track quantities, costs, and production for accurate project forecasting Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers Support scheduling and project planning efforts Ensure compliance with safety standards and project specifications Experience Needed 1-5+ years of experience in heavy civil, infrastructure, or public works construction Exposure to earthwork, utilities, roadway, or site development projects Experience supporting Project Managers or Superintendents in a field or office setting Familiarity with RFIs, submittals, and construction documentation processes Experience working with subcontractors and field crews Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) Strong understanding of construction drawings, plans, and specifications Proficiency with construction software (Procore, Bluebeam, HCSS, or similar preferred) Solid communication and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset Benefits Included Competitive base salary ($85K•115K) Performance-based bonuses Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays Vehicle allowance or mileage reimbursement (project dependent) Career growth opportunities with a well-established contractor Strong project backlog providing long-term stability Apply Today If you're a motivated construction professional looking to grow your career in heavy civil and infrastructure projects, we encourage you to apply.
