IMEG is hiring a Structural Engineering Intern in Idaho Falls, ID. Over 10-12 weeks,you'llassistin the analysis, design, and implementation oversight of structural systems in buildings and other structures while working closely with experienced engineers and consultants. This mentored internship offers hands-on exposure to project research, design documentation, cross-functional coordination, and project progress tracking in support of project goals and client expectations.

You'llalso gain experience working within project budgets while supporting industrial, manufacturing, and MEP market work. At a

Not available What You'll Do Assistwith structural design work for project discipline systemsin accordance withcode and IMEG standards. Assistwith project research and finding resources related to project work. Support good client relations, project design notebook maintenance, and documentation for permanent record files. Assistwith coordinating design and schedule with other disciplines, including architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, technology, clerical, and suppliers. Assistwith documenting design decisions, meetings, and client instructions whilemonitoringproject design progress. Assistwith reviewing project documents for accuracy and completeness before final check. Assistwith preparation and issuance of addendum information. Conduct periodic job site observations and perform other services as required by the contract services agreement. What You'll Bring Required Education Completed at least 2 years towards a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering, or equivalent,required Required Skills/Abilities Strong interest in design consulting Proficient with MS Office Suite including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, and Outlook Skilled in AutoCAD and/or Building Information Modeling (BIM) software Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups Preferred Prior internship experience in the building design consulting industry preferred About the Team A structural teamnearly 400strong delivering safe, efficient solutions One of the nation's largest award-winning structural consultants Steel, concrete, timber, seismic, facade, and long-span specialty design Tools include Revit, Tekla, and parametric workflows Advancing mass timber, seismic retrofitting, net zero, and SE2050(eliminatingembodied carbon in structural systems) Recent work includes U.S. Environmental Protection Agency / Ann Arbor, MI / National Vehicle and Fuel Emissions Laboratory / Energy Savings Performance Contract Design Oversight and Construction Follow-on Services, Government (Federal), FSU / Social Justice Museum / New Building, Education, and Faust Farms WTP and WWTP, Housing.
