Construction Engineer II Requirements & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related engineering discipline required. 3+ years of experience in construction and civil engineering. CPM scheduling knowledge and estimating skills. Strong understanding of construction engineering principles and procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with Microstation, AutoCAD, and Civil3D. Flexibility to work both indoors and outdoors in all seasons. Basic knowledge of soil, aggregates, concrete, and bituminous materials. Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, or significant progress toward licensure. Construction Engineer II Preferred Background & Skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team. High motivation and a strong sense of ownership over work quality and deadlines. Construction Engineer II Day-to-Day Responsibilities Support transportation and infrastructure project execution under the guidance of senior staff. Inspect construction activities and document compliance with contract documentation. Read and interpret contract drawings, specifications, and reports. Measure and calculate project quantities performed in the field. Prepare technical reports to record daily construction activities and findings. Contribute to quality assurance by reviewing work completed by junior staff. Collaborate with colleagues to market firm capabilities and build client relationships.
