Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a Junior Project Engineer to join C.E. Korsgard Company. In this role, you will support project managers in the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial and residential flooring projects from pre-construction through project completion. You will assist with project documentation, material procurement, scheduling, site coordination, quality control, and communication with clients, installers, vendors, and subcontractors to help ensure flooring installations are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to company quality standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in flooring construction, project management, and field operations while contributing to the successful delivery of a wide range of flooring projects. Primary Responsibilities Prepare and track all product data submittals, samples and shop drawings. Coordinate RFIs and maintain project documentation. Track, price, and follow up on pending change orders. Assemble and submit project closeout packages. Maintain drawing revisions and contract documents. Coordinate material lead times with vendors. Support Project Managers from project award through closeout. Attend project meetings and maintain meeting minutes as needed. Communicate with general contractors, architects, vendors, and field personnel. Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and on schedule. Preferred Qualifications 1-5 years of commercial construction experience (flooring experience is a plus but not required). Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with Bluebeam, Procore, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, or similar construction software is preferred.
