Pay Range:

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to support capital engineering projects within a large enterprise manufacturing environment. This role will lead planning, design, and execution activities for process equipment installations, facility upgrades, and laboratory improvements. The ideal candidate will possess strong project engineering expertise, process design knowledge, and experience managing multiple projects simultaneously. This position requires collaboration with cross functional teams to deliver projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the planning and execution of capital projects supporting manufacturing and laboratory operations. Develop project scope, schedules, budgets, and execution strategies. Coordinate with engineering, operations, quality, maintenance, and external vendors. Perform feasibility studies and evaluate engineering alternatives. Develop and review process flow diagrams and process and instrumentation diagrams. Prepare equipment specifications and support procurement activities. Manage project cost, scope, schedule, and quality performance. Support commissioning, startup, and qualification activities. Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation plans. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, engineering, and regulatory requirements. Provide project status updates and communicate progress to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. Minimum 8 years of project engineering or process engineering experience. Experience managing capital projects. Strong knowledge of process equipment including reactors, tanks, pumps, process piping, and instrumentation. Experience developing process and instrumentation diagrams. Experience preparing process equipment specifications. Knowledge of instrumentation and control systems. Experience with commissioning and qualification activities. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
10 or more years of engineering experience. Experience within pharmaceutical, specialty chemical, biologics, or manufacturing industries. Experience developing user requirement specifications. Construction management experience. Experience with capital expenditure planning and financial analysis.
