Job Description

Commissioning Agent (Mechanical Systems) Indianapolis, IN Overview We're looking for a driven and experienced Commissioning Agent with 5+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical systems. This role is ideal for someone who takes ownership, thrives in a collaborative environment, and brings energy and leadership to every phase of a project. What You'll Do Lead commissioning activities for HVAC, plumbing, and building automation systems (BAS) Perform on-site system start-ups, functional testing, and performance verification Review and validate design documents, energy models, and project specifications Develop commissioning plans, specifications, checklists, and reports Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and owners throughout project lifecycles Analyze thermal imaging data and system performance metrics Review TAB reports, construction checklists, and system documentation Identify issues, generate punch lists, and support resolution through completion Evaluate construction budgets and change orders for accuracy and impact Travel nationally for site visits, design meetings, and construction observation What You Bring 5+ years of commissioning experience with mechanical systems Strong understanding of HVAC systems, piping, construction methods, and industry standards Solid technical knowledge of building systems and construction processes Excellent organizational and time management skills Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with Revit and AutoCAD is a plus Strong communication skills and a collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset Why Join Us Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP) Discretionary annual bonus Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company contributions Generous paid time off and holidays Paid parental leave Tuition reimbursement program Employee assistance program Gym reimbursement Apply Today Join a team dedicated to delivering high-quality commissioning and building performance solutions.
