Role Description Project Engineer Job Description Project Management & Administration

• Track project progress and provide regular updates to the Project Manager.
• Prepare and maintain daily reports, photographs, and project documentation.
• Assist the project manager with project scheduling and maintain two-week look-ahead schedules.
• Review contract drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Prepare and track RFIs, submittals, transmittals, and closeout documentation.
• Maintain and update as-built drawings.
• Coordinate project activities between field personnel, subcontractors, suppliers, and Government representatives. Quality Control (QC)
• Assist in implementing and maintaining the Contractor Quality Control Program.
• Review submittals for compliance with contract requirements.
• Coordinate testing, inspections, and quality assurance activities. Site Safety
• Conduct daily site safety inspections and observations.
• Support weekly toolbox talks and safety meetings.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies Subcontractor Coordination
• Coordinate subcontractor scheduling and work activities.
• Conduct subcontractor preconstruction meetings.
• Verify subcontractor work complies with project requirements. Field Operations Support
• Coordinate material deliveries and procurement activities.
• Schedule utility locates and excavation permits as required.
• Coordinate testing agencies and specialty inspectors. Qualifications
• 3+ years of construction, project engineering, quality control, or field engineering experience with a college degree OR 8+ years of Overall Construction experience with few years of similar roles of managing on-site construction work.
• Understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, & Project
• P6 scheduling experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Federal construction experience preferred but not required
• CQM and OSHA 30 certifications preferred, but will be trained upon start
