$60,000 - $90,000 per year Job Details - This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious construction professional who wants hands-on field exposure, career growth, and the chance to work alongside experienced superintendents, project managers, and operations leaders on high-profile heavy civil projects. What You'll Be Doing Support field operations on large-scale heavy civil and site development projects Assist with layout, surveying, grade checking, and GPS machine control coordination Track production quantities, daily reports, and project progress Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and internal crews Help manage RFIs, submittals, as-builts, and project documentation Monitor project schedules and support short-term planning activities Assist with cost tracking, forecasting, and quantity verification Ensure work is completed safely and in accordance with project specifications Work closely with superintendents and project managers to solve field challenges in real time Participate in quality control and inspection activities What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred Internship or field experience in heavy civil, earthwork, utilities, or infrastructure construction is a plus Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications Familiarity with GPS machine control, surveying, or layout equipment preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced field environment Willingness to travel or relocate for project assignments if needed Driven, team-oriented mindset with a desire to grow into project leadership A bit about us: - A long-established heavy civil contractor with a strong reputation across large-scale earthwork, site development, utility, infrastructure, and industrial projects is seeking a Field Engineer to join its growing operations team.
