Opens a new window. Join our collaborative engineering team! SMH is seeking a Licensed Civil Engineer to join our Manhattan, KS team. With over 35 years of civil engineering and land surveying expertise, we're a trusted partner in shaping communities through innovative land development and infrastructure solutions.

What You'll Do:

Manage and design projects related to land development, transportation infrastructure, utility systems, and stormwater solutions Analyze and interpret topographic and boundary survey data to inform design decisions Collaborate with survey crews and engineering teams to ensure seamless project execution Communication directly with clients to assess project needs, provide updates, and deliver high-quality results Prepare plans, reports, and specifications that meet regulatory and client expectations

What We're Looking For:

We're seeking motivated individuals who are eager to lead, solve problems, and build strong relationships. Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Kansas or the ability to obtain within 6 months 5-10 years of engineering experience - water/wastewater experience is a plus Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and other Autodesk design tools Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without a visa sponsorship Valid driver's license Why Choose SMH?
