Precast Engineer

Our client, a leader in structural engineering and precast concrete systems, is seeking a Precast Civil Engineer to join their team. As a Precast Civil Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting project design, analysis, and execution. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.

• $150,000 What's the Job?

Perform structural design and analysis of prestressed and precast concrete elements, including beams, columns, wall panels, and related systems. Design and evaluate specialty concrete systems such as underground utility trenches, electrical/communication duct banks, and deep foundation systems. Prepare and review engineering calculations, shop drawings, and erection drawings to ensure accuracy and constructability. Coordinate with detailers, production teams, and field personnel to ensure alignment between design intent and fabrication/erection processes. Review RFIs, submittals, and design revisions throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards. What's Needed? Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering. Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in precast/prestressed concrete engineering. Professional Engineer (PE) license required. Strong knowledge of prestressed concrete behavior, PCI design standards, and load paths. Experience with structural design and analysis software such as ETABS, Tekla Structural Designer, or similar platforms. What's in it for me?
