About the Role Bohler's office in Westborough, MA is seeking a motivated Civil Engineering Intern (Land Development) eager to learn, grow, and contribute to real-world site design projects. As a Fall 2027 Co-op, you will gain insight into the daily operations of a civil engineering firm and understand the complete site development process, from concept to construction. By working alongside engineers, designers, and project managers, you will gain hands-on experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, supporting the design and permitting of commercial, residential, industrial, and mixed-use developments. What You'll Do Experience the day-to-day operations of a civil engineering and site design firm Learn the stages of the land development and site design process Enhance your technical skills with hands-on experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D to design: Concept plans Grading plans Stormwater management plans Utility system plans Soil erosion and sediment control plans Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to coordinate and drive projects forward Research zoning ordinances and coordinate with local jurisdictions Visit sites to observe field conditions and see the engineering process in action Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to design and process improvements What We Offer A supportive and collaborative environment focused on learning and professional growth Exposure to a variety of land development and site design projects Mentorship and hands-on training from experienced engineers and project leaders Opportunities to explore the civil engineering profession and gain insight into real client work Networking opportunities through office events, community engagement, and team-building activities What You'll Bring Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Civil, Environmental, Biosystems Engineering, or a related field Effective written and verbal communication skills A self-starter attitude with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D (preferred; training provided if not yet proficient) Curiosity and motivation to learn within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Interest in civil site design, land development, and problem-solving Start your engineering career with real-world experience.
