full-time Entry-Level Project Engineer On site in Hatfield, MA A growing civil construction organization is looking for a Entry-Level Project Engineer who wants meaningful exposure to the full project lifecycle, from early planning through closeout. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing technical detail, field coordination, and project administration while supporting complex site and infrastructure work. The right person will join a collaborative team, work closely with experienced construction leaders, and play an important role in helping projects stay organized, compliant, and on track. This Role Offers Strong opportunity to build hands on experience across project operations, field coordination, and preconstruction support. Exposure to heavy civil site work and fast-moving construction environments. A highly visible role with close interaction across project management, field teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients. Focus Support project planning and startup activities, including coordination of permits, internal documentation, and early phase administrative requirements. Maintain project records such as RFIs, submittals, purchase orders, tracking logs, inspection documentation, and related correspondence. Review construction drawings, specifications, and addenda to identify discrepancies, clarify scope, and support constructability review before work begins. Help coordinate communication across project managers, field leadership, subcontractors, suppliers, and customers to keep work progressing efficiently. Assist with procurement activities, material tracking, and delivery coordination to align with project schedules. Support subcontractor and vendor onboarding tasks, including document collection, insurance tracking, and required project paperwork. Contribute to closeout preparation by organizing project documentation and helping ensure all required materials are completed accurately and on time. Partner with internal teams on bid support, quantity takeoffs, cost related tracking, and schedule updates when needed. Maintain professionalism and sound judgment while handling project information, priorities, and shifting field conditions. Must Haves Minimum 2 years of experience in construction, engineering, business, or a related field. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret construction plans, specifications, and blueprints. Experience supporting project administration, including RFIs, submittals, procurement, and document control. Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and priorities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including strong Excel skills. Preferred Background Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, Business, or a related discipline is preferred. Experience with Bluebeam Revu and Procore is preferred. Exposure to heavy civil site construction is preferred. Success in this role will come from being detail oriented, adaptable, solutions focused, and comfortable working across both office and jobsite environments.
