Job Description

Job Title:
Structural EngineerJob Description We are seeking a talented Structural Engineer for a full-time position located in Grand Blanc, MI. The ideal candidate will possess the technical, organizational, and communication skills necessary to produce well-designed and coordinated construction documents for structural systems. Experience in building condition evaluation, structural rehabilitation, and design is essential. Responsibilities Prepare and review structural engineering calculations. Analyze and design the structural components of a building system or other structures. Provide technical guidance to structural AutoCAD/Revit designers in the preparation of design models and drawings. Assist in developing project structural requirements, conducting field surveys, and developing construction documents. Perform versatile design and/or analysis for steel, concrete, masonry, or timber framing systems. Coordinate with other design disciplines in the delivery of structural designs. Provide services during construction, including responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and performing field observations. Essential Skills 3+ years of experience in designing building structures. Experience in performing structural calculations and design for steel, reinforced concrete, and masonry systems. Ability to prepare construction documents and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams. Experience conducting field investigations and supporting projects through construction. Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit. Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. Additional Skills & Qualifications Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering preferred. Experience with RAM Structure, RAM Foundation, RAM Element, Versa-Frame, Enercalc. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Work Environment This small company employs 6 full-time and 2 part-time staff members. The work environment is located in Grand Blanc, MI, with a typical 40-hour work week. Occasionally, overtime may be required to meet deadlines. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Blanc, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.00
