Senior Structural Engineer
Position Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to manage all structural aspects of projects and contribute to integrated design solutions. In this role, you will collaborate with talented architects, designers, engineers, and business professionals while mentoring junior engineers and BIM staff. This position offers the opportunity to drive structural engineering excellence, manageplex projects, and build strong client relationships in a dynamic, supportive environment.
Position Salary Range
- The expected salary range for this position is $95,000 to $135,000 annually. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited four-year university 10+ years of job-related experience in structural engineering (20+ years preferred for senior-level candidates) Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain licensure byity in the state of the hiring Cushing Terrell office Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook Advanced understanding of basic structural systems, design processes, and general architecture/engineering practices High level of collaboration andmunication skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams Strong time management skills to balance project demands and deliverables Preferred Qualifications•Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering Structural Engineer (SE) license Experience with sustainable design practices or advanced structural systems (e.
- Oversee and manage all structural engineering aspects of projects, ensuringpliance with codes, standards, and client requirements Collaborate with architects, designers, engineers, and business professionals to develop integrated, high-quality design solutions Work independently and guide team members to produce construction documents, including plans and specifications Perform structural engineering analysis and develop design calculations to support project objectives Prepare engineering studies and detailed reports tomunicate findings and rmendations Develop construction cost estimates and validate them against industry benchmarks Manage project-specific requirements, including scope, budget, and timelines Develop structural engineering fee proposals and contracts Build and maintain strong client relationships to support project success and firm growth Mentor and direct junior engineers and BIM staff, fostering their professional development Working at Cushing Terrell Cushing Terrell is a multidisciplinary design firm with 17 offices and more than 500 team members who bring together their expertise to deliver holistic built environments.
- Actual pay will be determined based on the candidate's years of experience, licensure status, location, level of proficiency, and other job-related factors (as permitted by law). This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus.

- The majority of the time, a person in this role will be sitting in an office with limited physical requirements.
