A Geotechnical Engineer specializes in understanding and assessing the physical, mechanical and chemical properties of earth materials. They study the properties of these materials to assess their suitability for construction projects and to design foundations, slopes, retaining walls, and other structures to ensure stability and safety. Investigates geological conditions, conducts tests on rock and soil, and provides recommendations to mitigate risks, ensuring the integrity and longevity of infrastructure projects.

CESI is looking for a Geotechnical Engineer for its Concord, NC office to assess and analyze the ground on which buildings and other structures will be built. Why Work for

Vacation and Sick Days Job Snapshot:
Geotechnical data reduction, analysis, and field work for commercial and residential projects. Assist with project management and reporting. Assist in developing the scope of work for routine projects. Site and material characterization. Seismic site class evaluations. Settlement and slope stability analysis. Grade and quality evaluations. Assist in preparation of technical reports that document investigations, analyses, facility designs. Assist in preparation of project design packages including technical drawings, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates. Consult with clients and maintain work relationships. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications 1-3 years' experience in Geotechnical Engineering North Carolina PE or EIT or ability to acquire within a year Bachelor's degree in civil engineering preferred Good verbal and written communication skills Authorized to work in the United States Company Description CESI is a company with a great team of welcoming and experienced individuals.
