Job Description

Intern - Construction Management /
Civil Engineering Location:
Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, NC (On-Site, Project Job Trailer) ECC is seeking a motivated junior or senior undergraduate student (minimum 3.0 GPA preferred) pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field to join our team at Camp Lejeune. This on-site internship offers hands-on experience supporting field operations, quality management, project administration, and construction execution activities on the construction of an operations and maintenance facility, warehouse, and associated site paving improvements.

Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week

Compensation:
$24.00/hour Reporting to:
Project Manager Project-Based Position:
Daily attendance at the project site is expected
Security Requirement:
Must be eligible to obtain military base access
Driving Requirement:
Intern may be required to operate a vehicle on the project site
Learning Opportunities:
Interns will gain exposure to facility construction, warehouse development, site paving operations, project scheduling, quality control procedures, subcontractor management, and military construction project delivery . Participants will receive mentorship from experienced construction professionals and develop a comprehensive understanding of field-based project management.
Responsibilities:
Support Project Manager, Superintendent, and Quality Control staff with daily construction operations Assist with field inspections and project documentation Attend client and subcontractor meetings and prepare meeting minutes Support project tracking, reporting, and schedule updates Assist with subcontractor coordination and site logistics Help maintain project records and electronic filing systems Monitor adherence to project safety and quality requirements
Skills & Qualifications:
Pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Excel, Word, Outlook) Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively in a field-based construction environment Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn ECC's targeted hourly rate for this position is $24.00 per hour . Actual pay may vary based on education, experience, qualifications, and business needs.
