We are currently seeking a Structural Bridge Engineer to join one of our NC offices. Salary Range:
$95,000 - $160,000 based upon experience, certifications, and regional market standards.

STRUCTURAL BRIDGE ENGINEER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Collaborate with the team on the analysis and design of bridges and related structures, including steel and prestressed concrete beams, concrete slabs, pedestrian bridges, culverts, retaining walls, grade separations, stream crossings, bridge rehabilitations, and design-build pursuits. Perform and review bridge hydraulic analyses, including HEC-RAS modeling, scour evaluations, and waterway adequacy assessments to support bridge and culvert design. Coordinate with infrastructure teams to ensure compliance with FEMA, FHWA, and NCDOT hydraulic design criteria and to support state floodplain permitting and documentation. Lead bridge projects and coordinate tasks as a bridge task coordinator, managing schedules, budgets, and deliverables. Support teams in other offices with bridge and hydraulic design tasks and plan production. Mentor junior engineers and perform quality control reviews of structural and hydraulic deliverables. Develop technical memorandums, specifications, feasibility studies, evaluations, and reports, and support proposal development. Other duties as assigned.
STRUCTURAL BRIDGE ENGINEER ESSENTIAL CREDENTIALS
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering North Carolina PE 5-10 years of bridge/culvert design experience. NCDOT bridge design experience and thorough understanding of NCDOT design guidelines, procedures, and plan preparation. Thorough knowledge of
AASHTO LRFD
Bridge Design Specifications and Manual for Bridge Evaluation. Experience with CAD plan development, MicroStation/ORD, Open Bridge Designer. Experience completing drainage and hydrologic studies and bridge hydraulic design analysis utilizing HEC-RAS and HY-8
Preferred Qualifications:
A master's degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis is preferred. Familiarity with Bentley OpenFlows FlowMaster and interpreting FEMA floodway data and StreamStats is preferred.
