Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Senior Project Engineer for an established and growing engineering and energy solutions organization. This is an onsite position based in Morrisville, North Carolina.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Senior Project Engineer will play a key role in the development, design, and execution of complex building systems and energy optimization projects. This position collaborates with cross-functional teams to evaluate facility performance, develop technical solutions, and support projects from concept through implementation. The ideal candidate enjoys combining technical expertise, problem-solving, and collaboration to deliver impactful results for a diverse range of clients and facilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead engineering analysis, project development, and design activities related to HVAC, controls, lighting, energy efficiency, and building systems projects. Conduct site assessments, system evaluations, data analysis, and energy modeling to identify opportunities for operational improvements and performance optimization. Develop project scopes, technical reports, construction documentation, equipment selections, and design recommendations. Collaborate with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and clients to support successful project planning, execution, and commissioning efforts. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to project team members while helping manage schedules, deliverables, and project milestones. Support code compliance, utility incentive programs, quality assurance initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts across engineering processes.
QUALIFICATIONS
Professional Engineer (PE) license required. Strong experience with building systems engineering, energy analysis, project development, and technical design. Proficiency with engineering modeling and analysis tools, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to interpret technical information, perform engineering calculations, and communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This position offers a salary range of $100,000-$110,000 annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
