Job Description

TMCO is looking for a skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join our team and work at the intersection of architecture and manufacturing, bringing designs from concept to production. Project Engineers work in a highly collaborative environment and manage technical or engineering projects. They are responsible for the design, consistency and functionality of a project from start to finish. They understand the voice of the customer, find solutions where others find problems, and convert these innovative solutions into art and architecture. Every workday presents opportunities to take on new and unique challenges. They take pride in seeing their designs through to realization.
Educational Qualifications and Experience:
Must have an Associate's degree in the Engineering or Architecture fields. Related fields or relevant experience will also be considered. 1 to 5 years of experience in a similar engineering environment. Openings for entry level and more advanced positions.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience with Solidworks modeling software. Previous work in the sheet metal, structural steel, or general manufacturing industries is a plus. Work experience in construction is a plus.
Job Duties:
Reviewing construction documents and architectural models to understand design intent and system interfaces. Creating computer models for design, coordination, and fabrication of building components using Solidworks Working with fabricators to build prototypes and design for manufacturing efficiency. Supporting the design process through web based and in person design meetings with clients. Communicating plans and supporting work in the onsite fabrication facility.
