Associate Civil Engineer at Pennoni Associate Civil Engineer at Pennoni in Camden, New Jersey Posted in 23 days ago. $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year Pennoni is hiring for an experienced professional to join our team as an Associate Engineer and contribute to our multi-discipline design projects on a full-time, direct basis at our office in Camden, NJ . This person will have the opportunity to work on a variety of private and public site development projects across various markets! In particular, this person will support Staff & Project-level Engineers in all aspects of our projects (from conceptual planning, preliminary design, detailed development, construction documentation, permitting documentation, and engineering reports).

Primary Responsibilities:

Contribute to site design initiatives; this includes (but is not limited to) site layout, site grading, site utilities, etc. Review of local municipal ordinances as well as county & state regulations. P erform site evaluations for land development feasibility determinations. Contribute to design efforts by utilizing CAD tools; this includes assisting the Design team in preparation of plans for permitting & construction. Prepare permit applications as well as engineering reports (that present technical information to demonstrate compliance with client requirements and/or regulatory requirements). Perform design quantity take-off estimations as well as developing opinions of construction costs. Additional duties may be assigned, as needed.

Basic Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in an Engineering-oriented discipline (preferably Civil Engineering). 2+ years of professional experience working in Engineering, preferably with land development projects.

Preferred Qualifications:
FE / EIT.

Experience working on greenfield and/or brownfield land development projects. Experience working with stormwater management, especially while utilizing Hydrology and Hydraulics (H&H) modeling tools; experience with OpenFlows PondPack is a plus! Proficiency with engineering CADD software; experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus! Proficiency on basic office software applications, especially Microsoft Office 365. Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with minimal supervision while displaying a positive attitude. Excellent organizational skills, especially with a proven ability to work in an energetic and challenging work environment on a variety of projects; this person will be expected to demonstrate a self-motivated demeanor while effectively multi-tasking and prioritizing multiple assignments. Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).

TARGET SALARY RANGE
