Project Engineer, P.E. What You'll Do As a Project Engineer, you will work closely with Project Managers, senior engineers, designers, and clients to develop high-quality structural solutions from concept through construction.
Key responsibilities include:
Develop and review structural designs for a wide variety of projects Perform engineering calculations for structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, wood, light-gage metal, and foundations Create and verify structural models to ensure accuracy and code compliance Conduct field assessments and site investigations as needed Collaborate with contractors and project teams to resolve construction-related challenges Prepare technical reports, calculations, specifications, and other project documentation Perform QA/QC reviews of engineering calculations, models, drawings, and reports Assist with mentoring and training Engineering Interns, Design Engineers, and junior staff Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and help advance engineering best practices What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering Minimum of 5 years of structural engineering experience Current Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or equivalent Strong knowledge of structural analysis and design principles Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills Ability to work independently while contributing to a highly collaborative team environment Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering Experience with SAP2000, RISA-3D, or similar structural analysis software AutoCAD experience Programming knowledge Experience utilizing AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot or ChatGPT to improve workflow and productivity Success in This Role The ideal candidate is: Technically strong and detail-oriented Driven to solve complex engineering challenges Proactive and self-motivated Committed to quality and continuous improvement Client-focused and relationship-oriented Passionate about mentoring and helping others succeed
