ASIBACC delivers heavy civil construction projects throughout the Hudson Valley, with a focus on safe execution, quality work, and keeping demanding project schedules on track. We are looking for a Project Engineer who wants to be close to the work and involved in the daily decisions that keep a project moving. In this role, you will work directly with the Project Manager, Superintendent, field crews, and office team to support project controls, documentation, scheduling, purchasing, quantities, and billing. This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants to build toward broader project management responsibility while gaining hands-on experience across multiple phases of heavy civil construction. What You'll Be Responsible For Support the Project Manager with daily project management activities, documentation, and coordination. Work with the Superintendent and field team to maintain weekly look-ahead schedules and assist with monthly CPM schedule updates. Manage RFIs and submittals, track open items, and follow up to prevent information gaps from delaying field work. Track daily quantities for production, payment, inspection, and cost analysis. Perform quantity takeoffs and provide accurate backup for owner billings and project accounting. Plan and order materials and supplies based on upcoming field needs. Prepare purchase orders, coordinate deliveries, and help ensure materials arrive when crews need them. Maintain SWPPP inspection logs, reports, and related compliance documentation. Communicate potential schedule, production, material, or cost issues to the Project Manager before they affect performance. What Success Looks Like During your first 6-12 months, you will become a reliable resource for both the field and project management team. Project documentation should be accurate and organized, quantities should be current, schedule updates and billing support should be completed on time, and upcoming material or information needs should be identified early.

What We're Looking For Heavy civil construction experience, including experience as a Project Engineer, Field Engineer, construction intern, or in a similar project-based role. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, or equivalent construction experience. Ability to read plans, perform quantity takeoffs, track production, and manage project documentation. Strong organization, communication, and follow-through. Comfort working regularly in the field and communicating directly with crews, supervisors, and project leadership. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Familiarity with HCSS HeavyJob is a plus. Working knowledge of construction specifications, regulations, and industry practices is preferred. Schedule and Work Environment This is a full-time position, typically Monday through Friday from approximately 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Additional hours may be required depending on project needs. Regular onsite field presence is required, along with travel between project sites and the office throughout the Hudson Valley.
