Job Description
Junior Project Engineer $80,000-$110,000 + 401(k) + ESOP + full benefits + mileage reimbursement + PTO + technical training & progression Sleepy Hollow, NY (Open to candidates across NYC & Westchester County) Are you a Junior Engineer looking to build a career in clean energy and project engineering, with hands-on site experience, technical training and a clear opportunity to progress? On offer is the chance to develop your technical skillset through direct mentorship and on-the-job training, work on local projects, gain exposure to commissioning and project delivery, and grow into a Project Engineer and beyond as the business expands. This is a rapidly growing clean-energy start-up backed by several established sister companies under one parent organisation. With 70 projects already lined up, you will be joining at an exciting point in the company's growth, where your contribution will have genuine visibility and impact. You will support the delivery of sustainable clean-energy heating projects from submittals through to closeout. You'll work closely with contractors, engineers and manufacturers, attend site visits, support startup and commissioning, and work alongside experienced senior team members. You'll receive hands-on development and direct exposure to senior leadership, with the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility as the company grows. This role would suit a Junior Mechanical Engineer or Engineering graduate looking to break into the clean-energy sector and build a long-term career in project engineering while gaining valuable field and project experience. The Role Support project submittals, documentation, tracking and closeout across a growing portfolio of clean-energy projects Coordinate with contractors, engineers and manufacturers to keep projects moving and equipment deliveries on schedule Attend local site visits and gain hands-on exposure to startup, commissioning and project delivery Receive on-the-job training, senior mentorship and additional technical training, with a genuine opportunity to progress into a Project Engineer and senior-level position as the company grows The Candidate Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience Interest or experience in HVAC, construction, engineering projects or a related project environment Strong organisational and technical aptitude, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and an interest in developing project engineering skills Willingness to travel locally to project sites
