Job Description
Junior Civil Engineer We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Junior Civil Engineer to join our growing team in Akron. As a Junior Civil Engineer, you will work closely with our experienced engineers to assist in the planning, design, and construction of various civil engineering projects.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct site visits and surveys to collect data and analyze site conditions
- Assist in the preparation of engineering drawings and designs using AutoCAD and other software programs
- Collaborate with senior engineers to develop project plans, specifications, and estimates
- Conduct quality control checks on construction materials and workmanship
- Monitor progress of construction projects and provide regular updates to senior engineers
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and codes
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Proficient in AutoCAD and other engineering software programs
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
- Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently
- Knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations, and standards
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous internship or work experience in civil engineering or related field is a plus
- Experience with site inspections and surveying techniques
- Familiarity with environmental regulations
- Biometric passport or ability to obtain one is preferred We offer a competitive salary of $1800 per month for this position.
