• Interpret architectural, technical, and detailed shop drawings
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop system designs and support structures
• Perform structural calculations using FEA tools and hand methods in accordance with applicable codes
• Build and manage models in ANSYS Workbench Suite
• Prepare design packages and structural analysis reports for PE review
• Recommend design improvements to enhance performance, reduce weight, or lower cost
• Develop and maintain structural design standards for Ellis & Watts products
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, vendors, subcontractors, and customers What we're looking for …
• A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
• 5+ years' prior experience in a seismic, stress, or structural analysis
• 5+ years' working experience with ANSYS Workbench and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Software o Strong ability to perform Modal Analysis
• Preferred experience with: o ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code o IEEE standards o Professional Engineer (PE) licensure
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills Additional requirements …
