We are looking for a motivated Project Engineer to join our Civil Engineering team, with a focus on land development and energy-sector infrastructure. In this role, you will contribute to a wide range of public and private projects — residential, commercial, and industrial site development, along with electric, fiber, and oil & gas infrastructure — while growing your technical skills under the guidance of experienced senior engineers. This is a hands-on role with real project responsibility and a clear path for professional development.WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Perform engineering design, analysis, and calculations for land development projects, including grading, drainage, utilities, and site layout
- Support design and coordination for energy-sector infrastructure projects, including electric, fiber, and oil & gas site civil work
- Prepare construction plans, specifications, and technical reports for site development and energy clients
- Assist with project management tasks including schedule tracking, client communications, and coordination with subconsultants and contractors
- Conduct site visits, field investigations, and construction observation as needed
- Support permitting and regulatory submissions with state and federal agencies, including E&S and stormwater approvals
- Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, architects, and surveyors across land development and energy projects
- Contribute to the preparation of proposals and scopes of work for land development and energy-sector clients
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited programRequired:
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hirePreferred:
1-5 years of relevant civil engineering experience (internship experience counts)Preferred:
Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, or similar design softwarePreferred:
Experience with land development, site civil design, or energy-sector infrastructure (electric, fiber, or oil & gas)Plus:
PE licensure or active progress toward licensurePlus:
Knowledge of WV and Mid-Atlantic regulatory requirements for land development and energy projectsBENEFITS
